The company specializes in result-driven content strategies, SEO, social engagement, and web design across multiple industries. This position reports to a United States-based team lead within a collaborative, cross-office environment spanning five countries.
The role centers on creating performant, clean interfaces and connecting the backend to support the frontend. Responsibilities include translating design mockups into responsive, accessible code using HTML, SASS, CSS, and modern JavaScript, as well as building custom WordPress themes, plugins, and Gutenberg blocks using React or Advanced Custom Fields. Developers also work with Drupal for relevant client sites, troubleshoot both backend and frontend issues, and utilize artificial intelligence tools such as Claude Code for project planning and execution. This position suits professionals with solid CMS knowledge and strong frontend skills who can collaborate directly with design and consulting teams.
Responsibilities
- Construct custom plugins, themes, and Gutenberg blocks using React or Advanced Custom Fields from provided designs
- Convert mockups into accessible and responsive frontend code using SASS, CSS, HTML, and modern JavaScript
- Handle theming, content types, and module-level troubleshooting within Drupal for applicable client sites
- Identify and resolve frontend and backend problems across multiple content management systems
- Partner with consultants, designers, and clients to resolve issues and improve implementations
- Plan and execute large project components using artificial intelligence tools like Claude Code
Requirements
- At least five years of professional frontend development experience with strong JavaScript, CSS, SASS, and HTML fundamentals
- At least three years of experience building and customizing WordPress websites, including Gutenberg block development
- Working proficiency in PHP versions 7.x and 8.x to read, debug, and extend existing codebases
- Practical experience with Drupal theming, content architecture, or module-level tasks
- Familiarity with LAMP-stack conventions, Git, MySQL, and WordPress hooks and filters
- Strong communication abilities suited for a collaborative and client-facing setting
- Familiarity with artificial intelligence tools such as Claude Code
Qualifications
- Experience with Angular or React
