Fincons Group, an IT business consulting firm with over 2,600 personnel globally, is hiring a Full-Stack Software Engineer on a remote basis. The organization supports international financial institutions and intergovernmental clients on digital transformation initiatives. This role supports an intergovernmental organization and international financial institution by working on web-based tools and applications for the MARS Crop Yield Forecasting System.
The chosen professional will handle both front-end and back-end tasks, manage cloud deployments, and collaborate with scientists, technology specialists, and external contractors. Duties include creating the new JRC MARS Bulletin web platform, defining scalable architectures, and ensuring application security and performance.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy new web tools and applications for the MARS Crop Yield Forecasting System
- Lead the creation of the JRC MARS Bulletin web platform and integrate it with AGRI4CAST tools
- Review and refine existing system architectures, workflows, and software solutions
- Implement scalable system designs, RESTful APIs, and integration solutions
- Build, test, maintain, and update front-end and back-end application features
- Create user interfaces and optimize cross-browser and cross-device interactions
- Apply data management and security protocols including authentication, authorization, and validation
- Monitor and maintain application performance, reliability, and compatibility
- Perform troubleshooting, software maintenance, bug fixing, and continuous enhancements
- Upgrade existing AGRI4CAST tools such as Pasture and AOC applications
- Oversee cloud deployments using containerization and CI/CD pipelines
- Draft technical documentation, software architecture guides, and user manuals
- Establish operational procedures for data workflows and daily software tasks
- Provide technical support, training sessions, and software demonstrations to AGRI4CAST teams
- Participate in project meetings and collaborate daily with scientists, IT professionals, and contractors
Requirements
- Knowledge of architectural patterns and best practices
- Experience building, securing, and designing RESTful APIs and web services with OpenAPI or Swagger documentation
- Familiarity with integration testing practices
- Understanding of web security and authentication methods
- At least 6 years of experience with Angular, JavaScript, Vue.js, HTML, CSS, and related libraries
- Working experience with Git and GitHub
- Background in Agile development, design patterns, domain-driven design, and Python
- Familiarity with Git workflows such as GitFlow and trunk-based development
- Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or Azure and cloud environment management
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools including Docker and Kubernetes
- Writing skills for technical documentation
- Problem-solving abilities and adherence to high quality standards
- Capacity to adapt to fast-changing cloud and web technologies
- Interpersonal and communication skills for working in technical working groups and user meetings
- Ability to integrate into an international and multicultural team environment

Qualifications
- AWS Certified Developer - Associate
- Certified Senior Vue.js Developer
