micro1 is recruiting a German Language Expert on a contractor basis to support AI training work. The role is remote. The person records clear German audio, annotates speech data and reviews AI-generated output for language quality and pronunciation. Previous AI work is not expected, since native-level German and a good ear are the main assets.
The work is about improving how AI models learn and speak. Tasks include capturing high-quality German voice recordings, labeling speech data with careful attention to linguistic and phonetic detail, and helping design and run speech data collection. The expert also rates AI-generated German for understanding and pronunciation, and coordinates with the client's group to keep results uniform.
The best fit is a native German speaker with a strong ear for accents and pronunciation, who understands phonetics and can write clear documentation. Responsibilities
- Capture crisp German voice recordings that will feed model training
- Annotate speech data with precise linguistic and phonetic detail
- Help design and run speech data collection workflows

- Apply German phonetics and pronunciation knowledge across the workflow
