Wise seeks a Global Compliance Monitoring & Testing Manager to join the Compliance Monitoring and Testing team in Hyderabad. This is an on-site, full-time position focused on independently evaluating whether operational controls function effectively and whether customer experiences align with regulatory mandates.
The person in this role will execute risk-based reviews covering North American consumer protection, payments, state money transmission, safeguarding, disclosures, complaint handling, partner handoffs, and remediation processes. Responsibilities span the complete testing lifecycle, from initial scoping and population definition to evidence analysis, findings reporting, and remediation validation. The position requires close cooperation with Product, Operations, Legal, Risk, Engineering, and Analytics departments while delivering objective second-line challenge.
Ideal candidates possess extensive background in compliance or auditing, deep knowledge of regulatory frameworks, and strong project management capabilities. The role suits professionals eager to build practical, data-driven assurance programs that translate complex obligations into clear operational actions.
Responsibilities
- Manage and perform processes and controls testing by scoping reviews, conducting assessments, and collaborating on resolutions
- Communicate gaps and risks proactively while proposing solutions to strengthen processes and controls
- Validate regulatory control effectiveness to build stakeholder trust
- Execute regulatory and financial crime compliance monitoring and testing projects across markets
- Monitor compliance health using data and visualization tools
- Support the creation of compliance indicators and track compliance health metrics
Requirements
- Have 6 to 8 years of experience in a compliance or internal/external audit role
- Possess knowledge of compliance obligations, testing methodologies, and risk assessment frameworks, particularly for US, Canada, and global requirements
- Understand compliance risks and controls to formulate risk-based monitoring and testing programs
- Demonstrate ability to write and communicate clearly regarding products, processes, and controls
- Work independently as a proactive problem solver adaptable to changing priorities
Qualifications
- Ability to identify and analyze emerging compliance risks relevant to Wise
- Experience using analytical tools such as SQL and Python
