Job Description
Canonical is recruiting a Graduate HR Generalist for its AMER region. The company is a technology business that publishes Ubuntu, with staff in over 70 countries, and few roles based in offices. Its HR function is meant to think and act globally, and this post offers a chance to help shape how that function develops.
The job is remote and based in the AMER region. The HR Generalist answers team members' questions about employment and contracts, escalating where necessary, and fields questions about onboarding, company-wide benefits, employment confirmations and miscellaneous queries. It supports benefits enrolment and monthly payroll data, works with payroll on salary payments, and raises purchase orders for internal departments. The Generalist also checks files and systems so records stay current and GDPR compliant, and works on ways to improve processes. Owning global projects such as engagement, training or culture work is part of the remit.
Candidates should have a strong academic record and ideally HR internship experience, preferably in technology. The posting seeks clear communication, the ability to manage complex workloads under pressure, honesty and discretion with confidential data, and initiative.
