Job Description
The Senior Product Manager role sits in Meesho's product management function, which focuses on customers who have only recently started shopping online, mainly in Tier 2, 3 and 4 towns. The company's product approach is built on a user-first mindset, a bias for action and a focus on impact rather than features. The job is hybrid and based in Bengaluru.
This is a cross-functional leadership role for launching new products in a fast-moving start-up setting, which gives the holder considerable independence. The manager works with engineering, UX design, category management, marketing, operations and finance teams to take a product from problem discovery through to delivery and measurement.
Core activities include understanding the e-commerce market and the needs of buyers and sellers through interviews, research and competitor analysis, then breaking problems into smaller parts and ranking them. The manager runs solution discovery with several teams, tests ideas through prototypes and minimum viable products, defines detailed requirements and plans go-to-market activity.
The job also includes defining metrics, reviewing usage patterns, maintaining a roadmap with at least a three-month horizon, and guiding a small group of junior product staff. It suits a product leader with broad experience in tech-led companies, particularly consumer internet, who reasons from first principles.

- Ensure quality through user acceptance testing and dogfooding.
- Create go-to-market plans with business and marketing stakeholders.
- Define product metrics, track them and act on usage patterns.

- Exceptional problem-solving based on first principles.
- A good understanding of technology.
- Comfort with A/B experimentation, product requirement documents, backlog management and roadmapping.
Qualifications
- A consumer internet background is preferred.
