LaunchDarkly is seeking a GTM Data Governance Manager (MDM) to join its team on a remote basis. As an individual contributor, this professional will establish the policies and structures that ensure customer data—including user accounts, contacts, and subscriptions—remains consistent, accurate, and dependable across billing, CRM, marketing automation, product usage platforms, and the data warehouse.
The employer builds a feature management and experimentation platform designed to help engineering organizations ship software safely, accelerate deployment velocity, and execute targeted feature rollouts. In this position, the selected individual will dictate the rules that govern data quality, hierarchy models, and integration standards, serving as the bridge between technical execution and business operations.
This role suits an experienced data professional who can independently drive cross-functional initiatives and define master data management strategies. Responsibilities span creating golden record guidelines, designing data quality scorecards, evaluating tool architectures, and collaborating with legal and security teams to oversee privacy requirements such as GDPR and CCPA.
Responsibilities
- Manage the master data management operating model and roadmap for organization, contact, and account hierarchies
- Establish golden record protocols covering survivorship, merging, matching, and parent-child hierarchies across product, billing, and CRM platforms
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Customer Success to define data governance policies, stewardship roles, quality level agreements, and data definitions
- Oversee processes for integrating new data sources, managing change requests, and handling lifecycle adjustments like business acquisitions and mergers
- Build and track data quality dashboards and metrics focusing on duplication, timeliness, completeness, and accuracy
- Deliver progress reports and risk assessments regarding data health to leadership while leading remediation efforts
- Partner with GTM Systems and Data Engineering to formulate integration criteria and patterns across the data warehouse and Salesforce
- Evaluate potential technology purchases versus internal development for data quality, identity resolution, and enrichment tools
- Supply documented data assets for artificial intelligence and analytics initiatives
- Work alongside Security and Legal as the data owner concerning access controls, data retention, and PII management under CCPA and GDPR regulations
Requirements
- At least 8 years of professional background in analytics, data engineering, data governance, or data management
- Minimum 2 years of experience leading master data management or data quality programs
- Demonstrated hands-on history creating hierarchy models, golden records, and merge, match, and survivorship protocols
- Familiarity with CRM data quality management and Salesforce data structures at scale
- Background in establishing and running a data governance framework encompassing stewardship models, policies, and SLAs
- A track record of executing cross-functional initiatives without holding direct authority over participants
- Skill in translating complex business needs into technical data requirements
Qualifications
- Background working at a B2B SaaS company featuring a hybrid or product-led sales motion, including linking workspace product users to CRM accounts
- Knowledge of firmographic data, enrichment sources, entity matching techniques, and LLM-assisted or ML-assisted cleansing and matching
- Familiarity with SOC 2 security frameworks alongside data privacy regulations like CCPA and GDPR
