Welo Global is hiring an experienced freelance Hebrew Freelance Translator & Copy Editor to handle English (en-US) to Hebrew (he-IL) localization for a long-term project with a major multinational client. Welo Global provides multilingual AI, technology, and content solutions for thousands of clients across hundreds of languages. This remote contract position involves translating and copy-editing between 1,000 and 2,000-plus words per week across various materials, including marketing, user interface, product, support, informational, and light legal texts.
This role is well-suited for professional linguists with strong attention to detail who can manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Contractors will utilize a client-specific computer-assisted translation tool, with training provided. Team members collaborate on high-visibility international assignments while receiving ongoing support and training.
Responsibilities
- Translate and copy-edit English text into Hebrew across marketing, UI, product, support, informational, and light legal content
- Process an expected volume of approximately 1,000 to 2,000-plus words weekly
- Utilize client-specific computer-assisted translation tools
- Incorporate feedback and revisions while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced localization setting
Requirements
- Native or near-native proficiency in Hebrew alongside an excellent command of English
- At least two years of professional translation experience paired with a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field, or a minimum of five years of professional translation experience without a formal degree
- Demonstrated background in translating English to Hebrew across informational, marketing, UI, product, and support content
- Prior experience working with computer-assisted translation tools
- Strong communication skills, reliability, responsiveness, and openness to feedback
