Bosch is currently hiring a Field Service Engineer or Executive specializing in hydraulic systems for their Bosch Rexroth India division located in Ahmedabad. This position focuses on providing technical support, addressing customer issues, and ensuring product reliability for various heavy-duty machinery.
The person in this role will diagnose equipment issues, investigate complaints, and manage warranty claims while working closely with both internal departments and external clients. Qualified candidates will have a background in mechanical engineering and practical expertise in hydraulics.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with hydraulic components such as axial piston pumps, motors, mobile control valves, and hydraulic systems
- Respond to and resolve field and zero-kilometer complaints from original equipment manufacturers and end users in cooperation with the quality team
- Collaborate with internal service organizations and other departments
- Communicate and interact effectively with customers and source plant teams
- Perform proto-validation sign-offs for mobile applications including compactors, backhoe loaders, excavators, concrete pumps, and other construction and mining machinery
- Meet key performance indicators related to service turnaround times for closing customer issues
- Manage warranty claims by submitting 8D reports, quad charts, and completing complaint closures
Requirements
- Possess 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in the hydraulics industry
- Demonstrate strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities for hydraulic components
- Have product knowledge including fault finding, assembly, disassembly, and testing
- Exhibit customer orientation alongside communication and presentation skills
Qualifications
- Hold a Bachelor of Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
