Bosch seeks a Senior Engineer - Maintenance Shift Leader (Charcon) for a full-time, on-site position in Bengaluru. The position suits an experienced engineering professional capable of driving continuous improvement, managing tooling, and implementing structured problem-solving methodologies. Key duties involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, overseeing maintenance documentation, coordinating with suppliers, and executing preventive and corrective maintenance strategies to reduce equipment downtime.
Responsibilities
- Manage shift operations, resource planning, and shift schedules for the team
- Ensure line technical availability, quality compliance, 5S standards, and workplace safety
- Coordinate daily activities with cross-functional teams
- Apply systematic problem-solving methods such as A3 PSS and why-why analysis
- Drive the team toward permanent solutions for equipment and line issues
- Identify training needs and plan training sessions for team members
- Derive corrective and preventive actions for machine breakdowns utilizing quality tools
- Implement TPM, MTTR, and MTBF methodologies
- Manage tooling effectively
- Communicate with suppliers regarding breakdowns, open points, and issue resolutions
- Document machine breakdowns and preventive maintenance activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering in Mechatronics, E&E, or Electronics
