Manicaland State University of Applied Sciences (MSUAS) is seeking an Internal Auditor to join its Harare operations under the Vice Chancellor’s Office. This full-time position involves planning and executing risk-based audits, ensuring compliance, and investigating ad-hoc issues as requested by the Chief Internal Auditor.
This role suits experienced auditing professionals who hold advanced degrees and relevant certifications. The successful candidate will contribute to the university by reviewing financial and operational practices, generating detailed audit reports, and monitoring the status of prior audit findings.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the creation and execution of the Annual Internal Audit Plan
- Plan and carry out compliance reviews and risk-based audit engagements
- Write thorough reports detailing findings for all audited areas
- Track and perform follow-up evaluations regarding previous audit findings
- Execute ad-hoc investigations and additional tasks assigned by the Chief Internal Auditor
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Auditing
- Master's degree in Accounting or Auditing
Qualifications
- Certified Internal Auditor certification or another recognized professional qualification
