This position oversees inventory custody and tracking within the repair centre environment. The role suits professionals experienced in inventory operations who possess strong attention to detail, computer literacy, and the ability to manage multiple tasks under limited supervision.
The position encompasses two distinct functional scopes. The first involves managing POS terminals throughout the repair pipeline, maintaining logical and physical alignment from initial receipt of faulty units through technician assignment, quality assurance integration, and final outbound dispatch. The second scope focuses on managing the complete lifecycle of repair consumables and spare parts, controlling issuance against approved job cards, monitoring storage conditions, and executing regular stock reconciliations.
Responsibilities
- Receive and verify faulty or returned POS terminals against recall waybills and log them into the inventory management system within 24 hours
- Isolate and report damaged or missing-serial devices by raising discrepancy reports immediately
- Assign faulty devices to technicians daily, pushing them through repair stages and enforcing turnaround time service level agreements
- Update terminal statuses following quality assurance reviews and process dispatch lists and waybills with proper management approvals
- Conduct daily physical inventory counts of terminals and weekly reconciliations of spare parts against system records
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming spare parts consignments in designated labelled bins while protecting electronic components from environmental damage
- Issue spare parts exclusively against validated job cards and maintain accurate consumption and issuance logs
- Monitor stock levels to flag replenishment thresholds, obsolete items, and part-failure data
Requirements
- At least two years of experience working in inventory operations
- Good computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and workflow applications
- Capability to handle large volumes of items while maintaining strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication, stakeholder coordination, and organizational record-keeping abilities
Qualifications
- Minimum of an Ordinary National Diploma in a related discipline
