Medely operates a Series-C technology startup platform and marketplace designed to modernize healthcare staffing and workforce management. The company maintains a fully distributed team and seeks an IT Systems Administrator to join its lean, high-leverage IT group. This position combines hands-on IT support with systems administration and automation architecture, emphasizing security and least-privilege principles.
The role centers on building, securing, and automating underlying corporate infrastructure rather than routine support volume, which remains modest. Key responsibilities include managing identity and access control through Okta, administering MDM for macOS and Windows devices, overseeing SaaS governance with Torii, maintaining Zoom Workplace and Zoom Phone, configuring Notion, and building workflows using n8n and Okta Workflows. The professional in this position will also enable safe artificial intelligence tooling, handle employee lifecycle processes, and support security and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage identity and access management through Okta as the primary control plane for SSO, SCIM provisioning, group rules, and authentication policies
- Design and maintain role-based access control by department, role, and seniority while publishing access control matrices
- Build and maintain automations using n8n, Okta Workflows, and the ticketing platform to connect business applications
- Administer MDM across macOS and Windows device fleets for enrollment, compliance baselines, patching, and app deployment
- Serve as frontline support for the ticketing platform to resolve identity, device, SaaS, and cross-system issues
- Administer Zoom Workplace and Zoom Phone end to end, including licenses, call queues, routing, and compliance settings
- Enable AI tools such as Claude and Notion agents securely through Okta SSO, SCIM, and group-based entitlements
- Utilize Torii to discover unsanctioned applications, manage SaaS inventory, and track license utilization
