This full-time on-site laboratory role at SGS in Cebu performs analyses defined in the laboratory test matrix and reports results under the quality management system. The analyst prepares reagents, maintains equipment and reviews statistical quality control data. The role also coaches junior lab staff and maintains a safe, orderly workplace.
Responsibilities
- Perform sampling, testing and analyses as defined in the laboratory test matrix.
- Prepare reagents and test solutions and standardize volumetric solutions.
- Analyze results, including quality control charts and measurement uncertainty, and prepare reports.
- Coach lab analysts, technicians and trainees on testing and sample preparation.
Requirements
- University or college degree in chemistry, biochemistry, environmental science, chemical engineering, agrichemistry or a related science.
- Licensed chemist or chemical technician status.
- Follow SOPs and report safety incidents, near misses and hazards.
Qualifications
- Participation in proficiency and correlation programs.
- Accurate worksheets, log sheet entries and sample documentation.
