Roblox operates a 3D immersive digital platform that connects millions of global users through shared experiences created by a community of developers. The company is currently hiring a remote Law Enforcement Liaison based in Kansas to develop and advance strategic safety relationships with public safety agencies.
In this position, the professional will serve as an external representative of Roblox, coordinating directly with federal, state, and local law enforcement entities, including the Kansas Attorney General’s Office. The role involves designing and executing educational programs for external groups such as educators and parents regarding platform safety measures, NCMEC CyberTip initiatives, and response policies. This role reports to the Senior Manager of US Public Policy, requires frequent travel, entails on-call support during holidays and weekends, and may involve reviewing graphic, controversial, or offensive content.
Candidates will collaborate cross-functionally with legal, communications, product, and safety teams to manage emergencies and platform safety escalations. The ideal person is self-driven, versatile, and comfortable handling ambiguous, time-sensitive initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and build strategic relationships with law enforcement agencies in Kansas and the broader Midwestern region
- Coordinate with federal, state, and local law enforcement, including the Kansas Attorney General’s Office
- Plan and conduct educational outreach programs for law enforcement, parent groups, and educators covering platform safety and response policies
- Monitor, analyze, and provide internal advice regarding law enforcement developments within Kansas and the Midwest
- Listen to and address safety concerns from Kansas parents, caregivers, and educators while promoting trust in platform safety practices
- Draft professional work materials supported by multi-sourced platform safety investigations
- Collaborate across legal, advocacy, civility, safety, product, and communications teams to resolve emergencies and escalations
Requirements
- Possess at least 10 years of professional experience in law enforcement, intelligence, government, trust and safety, or a related field
- Demonstrate detailed knowledge of law enforcement communities and policymakers in Kansas and the Midwestern region
- Maintain a track record of public speaking, managing short-notice travel, and building constructive professional relationships
- Show the ability to navigate ambiguity, manage multiple high-profile tasks concurrently, and work in a dynamic setting
- Commit to providing on-call support during weekends and holidays
