Job Description
General Assembly, an education company known for practical courses in web development, data, design and business, is hiring a Lead Learning Experience Designer for the Europe, APAC and Middle East region. The contract runs for two or three months and requires about 30 hours per week while a project is underway. The role is 100 percent remote.
The designer builds instructor-led programs aimed at corporate, technical and professional learners. Topics may range from AI and new technology to digital change, hands-on technical skills, leadership and everyday productivity. The lead owns the client-facing design process from discovery to delivery, covering learning outcomes, timelines, scope, resourcing and content quality, and works with sales, product, client success and delivery teams to turn client needs into practical solutions.
The work involves building practice labs, case studies, simulations, assessments and learner workbooks, plus instructor enablement material such as facilitator guides and tool setup notes. Activities often use everyday AI tools, including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Perplexity, Midjourney and NotebookLM. AI carries real weight here, yet the central aim is scalable programs that satisfy learners, clients and instructional standards.
Applicants should have five or more years in instructional, curriculum or learning experience design, with strong instructor-led content experience and a grounding in Bloom's Taxonomy, ADDIE and adult learning principles. The posting asks for practical comfort with today's AI tools and gen AI concepts, LLMs, prompt craft and enterprise AI rollout. Candidates should be ready to attend calls scheduled across US, European, Middle Eastern and Asian hours.
Pay for candidates in Europe is listed at 23 to 35 euros per hour, and for APAC candidates at $20 to $38 USD per hour. The posting lists separate rates for the United States and South Asia.
