Responsibilities include keeping warehouse throughput efficient and service levels intact, planning mid-mile transport and returns, and tracing why inventory counts drift. The role lifts productivity and cost efficiency, handles FEFO and FIFO stock flow, coordinates with dark store teams on movement of goods, and runs stock audits to shrink losses. The lead also simplifies processes across departments and builds the systems and physical infrastructure for storage and logistics.
The lead needs several years of running big storage and logistics operations, including supervising a large team in which city and warehouse heads report upward, and working with outside logistics providers. Forecasting productivity demands, applying lean methods and automation, and reasoning through fast-changing business situations are part of the job. Experience with fruit and vegetable handling is a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Direct large, tech-enabled warehouses and set procedures and indicators
- Oversee efficiency and service-level commitments
- Plan mid-mile distribution and returns logistics
- Trace the root causes of inventory variance and raise cost efficiency
- Control FEFO and FIFO handling and coordinate with dark store teams
- Run stock audits and bring down shrinkage
- Build warehouse systems, workflows and infrastructure
Requirements
- 3 to 4 years setting up and managing large, premium warehouse and logistics operations
- Experience leading a sizeable team that includes city and warehouse heads
- Capacity to work with third-party logistics providers toward targets
- Strong analytical, communication and spreadsheet skills
Qualifications
- Background in fruit and vegetable operations
- Familiarity with lean processes and warehouse automation
- Ability to forecast productivity needs and reason through business scenarios
