Tines, the intelligent workflow company headquartered in Ireland, is seeking an entrepreneurial and commercially minded Legal Counsel for its global Legal team. This remote position focuses on supporting commercial transactions across EMEA and the United States, working directly with the Sales organization, Deal Desk, Customer Success, Partnerships, Finance, and Security. Tines develops a secure integration platform utilized by IT and security teams globally.
This role suits a legal professional who can independently lead customer negotiations, offer practical advice, and balance legal risk with business growth. The position reports to the Head of Legal and involves occasional travel to Dublin and other Tines locations. Responsibilities
- Lead customer agreement negotiations across EMEA and the United States, covering SaaS agreements, software licensing terms, DPAs, security terms, SOWs, and NDAs
- Partner with Sales leaders, Sales teams, and Deal Desk from initial review through contract signature
- Deliver practical, risk-based advice to help the business reach workable outcomes
- Advising on liability, indemnification, intellectual property, privacy, security, and service commitments
- Review and negotiate reseller, referral, integration, and technology alliance partner agreements
- Collaborate with Finance, Security, Customer Success, and Product teams
- Develop and maintain contracting templates, playbooks, fallback positions, and Sales enablement materials
- Contribute to scaling contracting processes as the global sales organization expands
- Support wider initiatives within the Legal team
Requirements
- 5 to 8 years of relevant legal experience, with 3 to 5 years of post-qualification experience
- Qualification as a solicitor or lawyer in Ireland, England and Wales, or another relevant EU jurisdiction
- Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating commercial technology agreements
- Direct experience supporting Sales teams and managing customer negotiations
- Solid understanding of legal issues impacting SaaS and software transactions
- Ability to manage multiple negotiations independently in a fast-moving, distributed international organization
- Authorization to work in Ireland
Qualifications
- Prior in-house legal experience at a SaaS, software, cybersecurity, or technology company
- Experience supporting commercial teams across both EMEA and the United States
- Familiarity with self-hosted software, regulated customers, or complex security requirements
- Background in negotiating reseller, referral, or integration partner agreements
- Practical knowledge of GDPR and international data transfers
- Familiarity with AI products and related commercial, privacy, and intellectual property issues
