Candidates should understand the trial industry, relevant regulations and the particular study before taking any action that could change system data. Staff are expected to know how the product and its processes work, because the studies are high-stakes.
Much of the job involves passing materials between groups. Source-language JSON files and screen documentation go out to outside translators, and translated files come back for the technical team to implement. Revisions are coordinated among all parties when needed.
The role also keeps timelines moving. Translation and eCOA deadlines are passed to the internal teams that implement them, and the project manager gives the lead project managers the timing they need to brief clients. Screens are assembled into reports from screenshots, then checked for complete, correctly ordered content.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate between internal eCOA groups and instrument developers on questionnaire content
- Act as the link between in-house technical staff and outside translators, discussing build needs and client-specific translation rules
- Look into layout, formatting and on-device appearance rules for each questionnaire
- Share English JSON files and screen documentation with translators
- Collect translated JSON files and pass them to the technical team for implementation
- Assemble a screen report for each questionnaire from screenshots created by the technical team
- Proofread screen reports to confirm all required content is present and sequenced correctly
- Keep revisions to screen reports and JSON files moving between the technical team and translators
- Give lead project managers translation timelines so they can inform the client
Requirements
- Two to three years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Solid localization background
- A bachelor's degree is required
- Real interest in languages and research, and a wish to build a career in pharma
- Experience running several projects at the same time
- Able to handle several tasks at once
- Strong organizational skills and close attention to detail
- Self-starter who drives their own work
- Polished written and spoken communication
