Job Description
Bosch seeks a Maintenance Process Expert for SMT: Robotic Process - Corrective and Preventive Maintenance (G6/G5) to work in Bengaluru. This full-time, on-site position focuses on maintaining machine uptime and driving process enhancements for robotic equipment within electronic manufacturing.
The role requires deep technical expertise in surface mount technology machinery, including specific Panasonic, ASM, ASYS, Nutek, Hirata, PRM100, IPTE, and Schunk systems. Professionals will handle spare parts management, troubleshoot machine failures, investigate root causes, and lead problem-solving discussions with process owners and centers of competence.
Additional responsibilities include creating and reviewing machine FMEA, implementing digital maintenance solutions such as AI, ML, and Industry 4.0 applications, and driving productivity measures.
Responsibilities
- Keep robotic machines operational and maintain high uptime
- Apply PDCA methods for optical equipment
- Eliminate recurring robotic process issues and implement best practices
- Investigate part failures, find root causes, and execute permanent fixes
- Lead discussions with process owners and CoC for unresolved problems
- Manage spare parts availability and handle obsolete items
- Participate in design reviews to advise on reliability and testability
- Modify and improve vision stations
- Support and lead technical topics for engineering staff
- Evaluate and integrate new automated testing methodologies and tools
- Analyze test results and share feedback with product development teams
- Coordinate with process owners on improvement projects
- Adapt quickly to change management procedures
- Create and review machine FMEA and convert potential points into CBM
- Transfer knowledge and share lessons learned across team members
- Implement RPP measures for productivity, such as tool life extension and spare parts localization
- Proactively identify quality risks, manage breakdowns, and execute predictive actions
- Deploy digital maintenance systems including AI, ML, bots, RPA, and predictive maintenance
- Work on safety improvements
Requirements
- 5 to 8 years of experience working with robotics or pick and place machines
- Experience in breakdown maintenance within electronic manufacturing industries
- Strong process and program knowledge in SMT
Qualifications
- Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or Mechatronics
