Smartsheet is seeking an Engineering Manager to join its growing team in Bulgaria. In this remote-eligible position based in Bulgaria, the manager will lead a team of software engineers, report directly to an Engineering Director, and collaborate with internal partners such as product management, UX, and customer teams. Responsibilities
- Manage and guide a team of software engineers to deliver products to customers
- Oversee the development and success of one or more products
- Coach and inspire team members to achieve software quality
- Collaborate with internal partners including product management, UX, and customer teams
- Establish lean engineering processes utilizing collaboration and rapid iteration
- Hire and grow team members while promoting engineering excellence and career development
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- 3+ years managing software engineering teams
- Deep software development skills in at least one systems development language such as Java, Go, C++, or Python
- Experience with modern technology stacks and building scalable, highly available customer-facing cloud applications
- Legally eligible to work in Bulgaria on an ongoing basis
- Proficiency in English
