Job Description
Meesho's Fulfilment and Experience team in Bengaluru has more than 100 members across operations, supply chain and analytics. Its purpose is to bring e-commerce to smaller Indian cities, including tier-2 and tier-3 ones by rebuilding fulfilment from scratch, through many zero-to-one projects that improve the experience for both buyers and sellers.
The Manager in Program Strategy works on making shopping journeys better for customers and sellers. The post requires building partnerships with business, product, technology and data teams, and collaborating with program managers and leaders who own fulfilment and user experience initiatives.
The role asks one central question: is Meesho the channel that each customer segment would choose first? The manager answers it through cost-conscious designs and processes for buyers and sellers, leads strategic work on cost reduction, user and seller experience and supply chain expense, and runs pilots that are tested on the ground before being scaled. The manager also writes SOPs that improve operational discipline and is accountable for the domain's performance metrics.
Candidates should hold a premium MBA and have more than three years of hands-on work at a start-up, an online consumer business or a consulting firm. The role calls for a data-first approach, a clear view of business strategy, a record of delivering initiatives with little supervision, and the ability to juggle many stakeholders in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the workstreams on cutting cost, improving user experience and improving seller experience
- Lead strategic initiatives that raise user and seller experience and cut supply chain cost
- Test ideas through experiments and pilots on the ground, then iterate and scale
- Build robust processes and SOPs that make operations more rigorous and efficient
- Collaborate with business, product, design, technology and analytics teams
- Assess whether Meesho remains the first choice for different customer groups
- Design user-centric, cost-effective processes that create lasting gains
- Own the performance metrics in the designated area
Requirements
- A premium MBA and more than three years of direct experience at start-ups, online consumer businesses or consulting firms
- Data-first mindset and strong analytical problem solving
- Ability to explain well-founded views on business implications and strategy
- Record of defining and delivering initiatives with little supervision and strong ownership
- Skill in managing many stakeholders across functions in fast-paced environments
