GameChanger seeks a meticulous Manual QA Tester for a remote contract position to perform manual testing on upcoming application releases. Operating as a remote-first technology company headquartered in New York City, GameChanger builds digital products designed to support youth sports communities, including coaches, parents, and volunteers.
This contracting opportunity involves evaluating new software iterations before public deployment. Contractors commit up to 20 hours weekly, with scheduling flexibility allowing work during or outside normal office hours, though availability for four to six hours daily is required. Compensation is set at $22 per hour. Due to state tax compliance guidelines linked to parent company DICK'S Sporting Goods, residents of Alaska, Delaware, Hawaii, Iowa, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, Oklahoma, and South Carolina are ineligible for this position.
The ideal candidate possesses strong attention to detail, a background in quality assurance, familiarity with mobile and web platforms, and a personal interest in sports. Responsibilities center on running regression and feature tests, recording software bugs, and collaborating closely with developers and QA engineers to report issues. Responsibilities
- Run regression test cases on alpha and beta application builds
- Perform regression testing on the website staging environment
- Execute feature-specific test cases
- Log software bugs through the designated bug-tracking system
- Share feedback, concerns, and discovered issues with developers and the QA team
- Be available to work four to six hours daily
- Review existing test cases in Testrail and notify lead QAs about outdated instructions
