Job Description
TRM Labs is seeking a Marketing Technology Engineer to manage the automation, artificial intelligence layer, and operational infrastructure supporting the marketing organization. TRM creates artificial intelligence-powered intelligence platforms that assist public and private organizations in analyzing illicit activities, examining threat networks, and investigating crimes. This technical position involves operating within the marketing function to build production automations, maintain the technology stack, and ensure metrics remain consistent across multiple product lines and software tools.
This role suits individuals with prior marketing operations experience who have independently maintained unattended digital pipelines or agents, transitioned from no-code stitching to repository practices, and taken full ownership of execution without relying on a downstream reviewer. Team members operate in an intense, fast-moving environment that demands high personal accountability, cross-functional collaboration, and comfort with frequent prioritization shifts and operational ambiguity.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end operating layer for the marketing agent fleet, covering provisioning, output verification, monitoring, alerts, and incident response.
- Design and create agentic workflows, functional skills, and automations to eliminate manual work across the team.
- Instrument technical builds to ensure usage, output, and value remain visible to leadership while allowing agents to learn from feedback.
- Standardize how core marketing definitions such as lead scoring stages, pipelines, territories, and qualification levels are integrated across tools and product lines.
- Administer, configure, and integrate the marketing technology stack so that campaign execution teams can extend processes independently.
Requirements
- Demonstrated prior experience working in marketing or marketing operations.
- Familiarity with funnel and attribution logic, lead scoring, send cadence, deliverability norms, and list hygiene rules.
- Practical experience running unattended digital systems, pipelines, or integrations.
- Track record of building production-level automation within go-to-market functions using platforms like Clay, Zapier, Workato, or n8n.
- Demonstrated experience using version control, code review, continuous integration, testing, and shared repository deployments.
- Working proficiency in SQL and Python along with solid REST API fundamentals.
- Familiarity with secrets management for application credentials and API keys.
- Data warehouse fluency in environments such as BigQuery to query and evaluate data models.
- Hands-on administration experience with HubSpot and Salesforce.
Qualifications
- Direct experience utilizing Claude or n8n.
- Experience developing multi-step enrichment waterfalls using tools like Clay.
- Exposure to observability or data quality practices, including monitoring, freshness checks, and anomaly alerts.
- Background supporting multiple product lines simultaneously where shared metrics must remain accurate.
