Job Description

TRM Labs is seeking a Senior or Staff Intelligence Analyst focused on Environmental Crimes to lead the development of its threat intelligence capabilities in this domain. In this remote position, the analyst will independently research and publish intelligence regarding environmental crimes, wildlife trafficking, and the associated crypto and financial flows. This role suits professionals who want to build an intelligence category from the ground up, manage external partner relationships, and collaborate with law enforcement and NGOs. The work involves combining on-chain tracing, open-source intelligence, and partner data to produce actionable targeting packages. Candidates will also serve as a power user to shape product development and create repeatable AI workflows for signal processing and target selection.

Responsibilities

  • Run complex, multi-source investigations to identify wallets, entities, and off-ramps associated with environmental crime networks
  • Manage the United for Wildlife partner program across a network of over 200 partner organizations
  • Organize virtual and in-person cross-sector working groups and sprints for real-time disruption
  • Represent TRM Labs publicly through briefings, media engagement, and industry events
  • Partner with product teams to translate field requirements into platform improvements
  • Build reusable artificial intelligence workflows for signal processing and target selection

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of professional background in intelligence analysis, illicit finance, financial crime, transnational threat investigations, or blockchain intelligence
  • Domain expertise in wildlife trafficking, environmental crime, or transnational smuggling, or a proven capability to ramp up quickly in an adjacent illicit-trade sector
  • Demonstrated capability to independently conduct complex investigations and create source-cited written intelligence for diverse audiences
  • Proficiency in open-source intelligence methodology and practical experience with commercial databases
  • Production artificial intelligence fluency using language models to accelerate research and evaluate outputs
  • Experience operating in partner- and community-facing capacities to build trust across a multi-organization network
  • Strong stakeholder communication, briefing, and facilitation abilities

Qualifications

  • Hands-on blockchain or crypto tracing experience spanning multiple chains and obfuscation techniques
  • Background working alongside non-governmental organizations or law enforcement in enforcement or conservation settings
  • Experience delivering training sessions or operational enablement to external partners
  • Prior involvement in organizing working groups or operational events that unite diverse stakeholders
  • Regional language fluency relevant to primary trafficking corridors such as Mandarin, Vietnamese, Thai, Spanish, or Portuguese
