The organization is currently hiring an IT Systems Engineer to construct and protect identity and access management along with mobile device management architectures. This position centers on formulating device policies and access protocols that enable staff members to deploy tools without compromising corporate data.
This hybrid position requires working from an office three days each week, with designated locations in San Francisco, New York City, or Austin. Professionals in this role will collaborate closely with security teams to automate workflows through scripts, API integrations, and artificial intelligence tools.
Responsibilities
- Manage Okta settings including Single Sign-On, Multi-Factor Authentication, user groups, application integrations, access policies, and automated provisioning.
- Develop automation for onboarding, role modifications, and offboarding procedures.
- Operate and maintain a mobile device management platform for software deployment, enrollment, encryption, patching, and compliance monitoring.
- Create automated scripts and API integrations across Okta, Slack, Google Workspace, and IT service platforms while leveraging artificial intelligence for coding and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with security personnel regarding least-privilege access, device security protocols, and access evaluations, while acting as an escalation contact for complex identity and device problems.
Requirements
- Seven or more years of practical IT systems engineering background with a strong focus on identity and access management or mobile device management.
- Experience administering Okta and connecting applications utilizing SAML, OIDC, and SCIM protocols.
- Background operating mobile device management software such as Jamf, Intune, or Kandji and Iru.
- Ability to author automation scripts in Python or Bash interacting with APIs, including reviewing artificial intelligence-generated code prior to deployment.
Qualifications
- Experience managing Okta or other IT infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Familiarity supporting Amazon Web Services identity and access parameters.
- Background building or hosting a project on Vercel.
