GW RhythmX seeks a Network Engineer to handle the setup, upkeep, and troubleshooting of both local and remote network infrastructure. This role suits professionals who enjoy tackling technical challenges, working with high autonomy, and managing hybrid, on-premises, and cloud environments. The position is available remotely or from the company office in Bethesda, Maryland.
As part of the team, the successful candidate will maintain hardware and software, handle virtual private network connections, and participate in projects involving automation and cloud components. Candidates must possess a strong understanding of core networking principles and customer service experience. The position requires a flexible schedule to manage after-hours incident responses when necessary.

Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and troubleshoot cloud, on-premises, and hybrid network architectures
- Maintain cloud network components operating within Amazon Web Services
- Utilize automation tools to monitor systems, lower total cost of ownership, and satisfy defined key performance indicators
- Build reusable solutions that address common network problems
- Perform preventative maintenance and keep network software and hardware updated
- Analyze the network environment continuously to spot and fix issues
- Adhere strictly to data security policies to safeguard sensitive information such as PHI and ePHI
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency
- Familiarity with networking concepts including TCP/IP, the OSI Model, routing protocols, NAT, and IPsec VPN
- Knowledge of wireless network design and troubleshooting
- Experience with cloud networking concepts in Amazon Web Services
- Familiarity with at least one scripting or configuration tool such as Python, BASH, or Ansible
- Availability for a flexible schedule to handle after-hours incident escalations
