Job Description
Canonical's Talent Development team is hiring an Organisational Development Associate to help leaders and managers across the company get better at their work. The role is remote and open across EMEA and the Americas. It is an early-career post where the associate joins real teams during real change, learns from senior practitioners, and works toward running this kind of work alone. The posting says it is no kind of support or back-office job, and not a generalist HR post.
The associate spends time inside a team to see how it operates and where it stalls. They carry out diagnostics on team health and management quality, drawing on engagement surveys, 360 reviews and direct feedback, and convert the findings into a candid, clear picture. The associate also owns one improvement from first idea to finished change, working alongside a senior practitioner. Other duties include helping managers act on 360 feedback by agreeing a short list of commitments to keep, and contributing to the shared standards, tools and vocabulary that the function relies on.
Canonical is looking for someone who has organised and led others early on, in any setting, and who chose organisational or industrial psychology, or behavioural science, deliberately. The role calls for drive, openness to coaching, the confidence to talk about change with seasoned people, and business-level English. Roughly two years of work since graduation is typical, and trips for internal events up to four times a year are expected.
