Hey Jane is hiring a part-time Patient Care Advocate to join its clinical care team. This remote position is open to individuals permitted to work within the state of California. Hey Jane provides virtual reproductive and sexual health care services, including medication abortion treatment, via mobile phone text messaging.
The Patient Care Advocate will deliver customer service by addressing patient inquiries, handling logistics, and guiding individuals through virtual care. This role requires working eight-hour shifts from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm PT on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, with weekend hours required.
Responsibilities
- Answer patient inquiries regarding treatments, logistics, and subsequent steps
- Resolve patient issues concerning shipping, scheduling, refunds, and care coordination
- Monitor patients throughout their medical journey and guarantee prompt follow-up
- Review, record, and report insurance eligibility data
- Keep precise records in the EMR while complying with privacy and HIPAA rules
- Juggle multiple tasks while remaining reliable, communicative, and steady
Requirements
- Healthcare background such as MA, PCA, CNA, or a comparable patient-facing or clinical role
- Minimum of one year of experience in abortion care
- Familiarity with operating in both remote and in-clinic settings
- Ability to work part-time on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm PT
- Permission to work within the state of California
