Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice seeks a remote Pet End-of-Life Representative, known internally as a Veterinary Care Coordinator, to support families navigating the loss of a pet. Lap of Love operates as a nationally recognized provider of in-home veterinary hospice and end-of-life care, assisting families and their companion animals with dignity and compassion. This hourly, non-exempt role is fully remote, requiring team members to manage a high volume of inbound inquiries while maintaining a calm, empathetic demeanor.
The position suits individuals who possess a strong affinity for animals combined with genuine care for human emotional well-being. Responsibilities center on guiding sensitive conversations covering quality-of-life care, behavioral challenges like aggression, and mortality. Staff members must handle scheduling, document animal medical histories accurately, and meet established performance benchmarks. Candidates need reliable technical infrastructure, including a wired ethernet connection and familiarity with cloud-based tools such as Gmail, Google Calendar, and Zoom.

Responsibilities
- Handle a high volume of inbound customer service calls from home
- Lead sensitive discussions regarding end-of-life care, quality-of-life, and pet behavioral issues with empathy and calm
- Gather and accurately record animal medical information
- Schedule appointments efficiently while adhering to assigned work schedules
- Fulfill all performance, productivity, and quality expectations
- Provide exceptional customer support to pet owners and veterinarians
- Maintain punctuality for attendance, scheduled breaks, and deadlines
Requirements
- Experience in high-volume call centers, customer service, or related support environments
- Reliable, high-speed hard-wired internet service via an ethernet connection using fiber optic, cable, or DSL
- Availability to work shifts that include nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to attend a mandatory multi-week intensive training program at the start of employment
- Capacity to sit for extended periods and manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
Qualifications
- Prior work-from-home experience
- Background working with minimal peer interaction
