Oscar Medical Group seeks a Bilingual Physician to join its Virtual Urgent Care team on a full-time basis. The organization aims to transform the healthcare delivery experience by helping members reach their health objectives through personalized approaches. In this remote position, you will report to the Medical Director of Virtual Urgent Care and provide evidence-based, compassionate patient care using text, audio, and video formats.
The role requires full-time commitment across 5-day schedules with 8-hour shifts, offering both daytime (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM) and evening (3:00 PM to 11:00 PM) options. All schedules incorporate a rotating weekend requirement every four weeks. Candidates must reside in Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, or Virginia, and may occasionally need to travel for company events and team meetings.
As part of the care team, you will collaborate with registered nurses, medical assistants, primary care providers, behavioral health clinicians, and supervisors. You will utilize diagnostic and remote monitoring tools, track imaging and lab results, and provide input on product features and operational workflows. Responsibilities
- Deliver virtual medical care to patients via written, audio, and video communication channels
- Partner with other physicians and advanced practice leads to manage complex patient cases
- Review and manage labs, imaging, and closed-loop communication involving patients and external providers
- Utilize digital tooling including remote physical examinations, home monitoring equipment, and point-of-care diagnostics
- Collaborate within an interdisciplinary care model alongside nurses, medical assistants, primary care providers, and behavioral health staff
- Attend required meetings encompassing case conferences, huddles, and service line all-hands
- Contribute feedback to enhance product features and operational workflows
Requirements
- Possess an MD or DO degree from an accredited program
- Hold Board Certification in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine
- Demonstrate bilingual fluency in Spanish across reading, writing, and speaking
- Bring a minimum of three years of experience in emergency department or outpatient urgent care settings
- Accumulate at least two years of telemedicine or virtual care delivery experience
- Be onboarded with active licenses in Florida and Tennessee through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact
- Maintain eligibility for or hold a compact license from the Interstate Medical Licensure Commission
