Natwecraft Investments is hiring a Plumber Or Drainlayer for an on-site role in Zimbabwe. This position involves executing large-scale pipe laying activities for water and sewer reticulation on a residential land development site. The person chosen for this role will report directly to the Project Engineer or Site Manager and will collaborate closely with Civil Engineering Technicians. Responsibilities include installing pipes, setting up inspection chambers and manholes, and fitting fire hydrants and valves. Candidates must be willing to travel and work anywhere in Zimbabwe based on project locations.
Responsibilities
- Install and lay out pipes and associated components for water and sewer reticulation systems
- Maintain correct pipe grading and alignment to ensure proper flow for water and sewer
- Set up valves, fire hydrants, inspection chambers, manholes, and other water and sewer system parts
- Support pipe testing procedures and fix any leaks or flaws found
- Verify that all installations comply with the standards set by the Inspector and Engineer
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Plumbing and Drain Laying
- At least five O Levels
- Background in the construction industry, with a preference for land development projects
- Demonstrated experience working with sewer and water reticulation systems
