Natwecraft Investments is hiring a full-time Sheq Officer / Site Clerk to work on-site in Zimbabwe. The successful individual will report directly to the Site Manager and handle a combination of safety, health, environment, quality management, and site administration duties on land development projects. This position suits professionals experienced in construction-related safety and administrative record-keeping who are ready to travel and work across various regions of Zimbabwe.
Key duties involve conducting safety inductions, managing environmental compliance with the Environmental Management Agency, maintaining materials and tools registers, and assisting project management with administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Run safety inductions, briefing sessions, and toolbox talks
- Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental standards including personal protective equipment use
- Perform site inspections, risk assessments, and investigate incidents
- Provide first aid treatment and keep first aid supplies stocked
- Check the quality of materials and workmanship against project specifications
- Compile and submit safety, health, environment, and quality reports to management, consultants, and clients
- Represent the organization at relevant safety and quality meetings
- Coordinate with the Environmental Management Agency regarding environmental compliance
- Collaborate with consultants to draft quarterly reports for the Environmental Management Agency
- Maintain daily site logs, attendance registers, diaries, and equipment usage sheets
- Log material deliveries and maintain the materials register
- Manage site tools, oversee tool custody, and verify daily tool returns
- Organize site documentation such as permits, correspondence, and inspection logs
- Support the Site Manager with general administrative duties and report generation
Requirements
- At least three years of working experience as a SHEQ or SHE Officer within construction or site environments
- Proficiency in computers, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong communication, documentation, and reporting abilities
- Availability to work anywhere across Zimbabwe based on project locations
Qualifications
- Relevant credential in Safety, Health, Environment and Quality or a related discipline
- Valid first aid certificate
