Job Description
Henry Schein One is presented as a global leader in dental practice management technology. Its stated aim is to build products that improve patient care and deliver measurable results for dental practices.
Remote applicants in the United States are welcome for this Principal Architect role, which involves travel of up to 10 percent when required. The architect is responsible for the technical vision of the platform powering the company's go-to-market operations, covering marketing, sales and the quote-to-cash process. Salesforce anchors that landscape, yet the scope reaches the whole GTM toolset, including judgment about which processes belong inside Salesforce and which belong elsewhere.
The role blends hands-on design and construction for the most intricate projects with technical guidance for architects, administrators and developers. It also advises business systems leaders on roadmaps, priorities and organizational change. Success means quicker quoting, cleaner data, simpler processes and less manual work-around effort for the sales organization.
The posted base range is USD 130,000 to 160,000, meant for someone starting out in the role through to full proficiency. A bonus target applies on top of that band and is not included in the range. The company says it is not presently recruiting people who reside in Delaware, Hawaii, North Dakota, Rhode Island, Vermont, Puerto Rico or other US territories.
Responsibilities
- Set the long-range technical design direction for GTM systems, which include Salesforce and adjacent tooling.
- Convert the GTM roadmap into concrete designs and implementation plans.
- Find and eliminate architectural weak points that cause brittleness, duplicate work or isolated data.
- Plan how customer, product and usage information flows between platforms and to the people who rely on it.
- Visit the teams who use GTM systems every day to uncover pain points where architecture falls short.
- Direct the design and hands-on building of the most intricate work, such as integrations, data design, bespoke solutions and new tool rollouts.
- Judge tools on architectural fit and durability, and advise whether to purchase, develop internally or retire each one.
- Make integration a primary design consideration, since connection points influence what customers experience.
- Contribute backlog items and sprint deliveries alongside the team.
- Advise business systems leadership on scope, roadmap feasibility, sequencing and trade-offs.
- Establish design, build and release standards for the business systems group.
- Review code and mentor architects, administrators and developers.
- Coordinate architecture choices with the enterprise architecture group.
Requirements
- Ten or more years of growing responsibility in enterprise software and GTM systems architecture.
- Ownership of Salesforce architecture direction across several clouds and linked platforms.
- Hands-on depth in Sales Cloud, Revenue Cloud and quote-to-cash workflows.
- Experience with data architecture and integrations, covering modeling, governance and interoperability between enterprise systems.
- Track record of setting enterprise architecture guidelines and developing people through mentoring.
- Strong project leadership and analysis skills, with proof of delivering measurable outcomes on intricate initiatives.
- Clear communication and stakeholder handling across both business and technical people.
Qualifications
- Salesforce certifications.
- Familiarity with sales productivity and revenue platforms such as Clari, Outreach or Groove.
- Work in fast-scaling organizations.
- Experience carrying out large platform migrations.
Core Skills
Benefits
- Health coverage, plus retirement savings with an employer match.
- Paid time off and parental leave.
- Wellbeing resources and support for education.
