Jumio is seeking a Principal Enterprise Architect to lead technical strategy, cloud infrastructure, and AI adoption for its identity verification and anti-fraud platform. Operating globally from India on a remote basis, the person in this role will take end-to-end ownership of system architecture, champion the use of generative AI in software development, and ensure the multi-tenant SaaS platform scales efficiently.
This position suits an ultra-technical leader who maintains hands-on coding skills, builds technical prototypes, and bridges enterprise design with pragmatic execution. Key duties include optimizing AWS infrastructure, designing distributed data pipelines, guiding engineering teams on microservices and event-driven patterns, and leading the Architecture Review Council.

Responsibilities
- Own the technical vision and define modern architecture patterns for scalable, high-performance, and cost-efficient systems
- Design and optimize multi-tenant SaaS platforms and self-service capabilities like workflow designers and reporting engines
- Lead cloud cost efficiency initiatives and collaborate with AWS Support and Solution Architects
- Architect high-scale, distributed data processing pipelines for batch and real-time workloads while enforcing data governance
- Guide engineering teams on architectural best practices, microservices, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native patterns
- Build technical prototypes and proof-of-concepts to validate architectural choices
- Drive the adoption of generative AI tools and LLMs to automate the software development lifecycle safely
- Lead the Architecture Review Council to enforce standards, resolve technical debt, and maintain strategic coherence
Requirements
- At least 12 years of hands-on experience in technical leadership, system architecture, data engineering, or cloud engineering
- Deep, hands-on AWS expertise including EKS, IAM, Lambda, and networking
- Experience with multi-tenant architectures and framework design for configurable SaaS platforms
- Strong background in distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architectures, and caching strategies
- Hands-on knowledge of AI and machine learning model execution, performance, and optimization
- Proficiency in high-scale transactional systems and infrastructure automation tools like Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD
- Expert coding skills in Java, strong skills in Python, and working knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, and Kotlin
- Proven expertise in strategic stakeholder management and total cost of ownership financial analysis
Qualifications
- Professional experience with Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with high-volume, real-time data processing and distributed streaming architectures
- Experience building petabyte-scale distributed data platforms
- Familiarity with identity verification, authentication, or fraud prevention technologies
