To support this mission, the organization is hiring a Principal Product Manager for its Onboarding & KYC team located in Hyderabad. This position centers on directing product strategy and execution for customer verification and anti-financial crime efforts across the APAC region.
The role suits a senior professional capable of handling complex challenges across technical, regulatory, and data-driven domains. Responsibilities involve scaling digital identity verification across multiple Asian-Pacific markets, collaborating with cross-functional partners like engineering, design, and compliance, and balancing conversion rates with risk mitigation. Candidates will handle localization tasks, integrate regional identity providers, and improve metrics related to verification completion, manual review rates, and operational costs.
This is an on-site position based in Hyderabad that requires close coordination with teams in Singapore, other regional markets, and global engineering hubs. Responsibilities
- Manage the product strategy and roadmap for APAC onboarding, KYC, and financial crime prevention initiatives from discovery to launch
- Scale digital identity verification and eKYC experiences in countries including Japan, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and the Philippines
- Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Analytics, Operations, Risk, and Compliance teams to balance user conversion, operational expenses, and regulatory demands
- Drive localization efforts by incorporating local identity registries and regional controls into the global platform
- Enhance onboarding metrics such as first product adoption, verification completion speeds, manual review rates, and quality of financial crime decisions
- Mitigate financial crime risks by implementing country-specific in-product control environments
- Generalize effective APAC onboarding capabilities so other product teams can reuse them
- Monitor detailed customer journeys, service architecture, regulatory interpretations, and operational workflows
Requirements
- Extensive product management background, particularly in finance, fintech, identity, onboarding, KYC, risk, compliance, fraud, trust and safety, or related regulated fields
- 8+ years of total workforce experience with approximately 5+ years in product management or adjacent roles
- Minimum of 3+ years in a senior product manager position for candidates with substantial non-product management experience
- Proven track record of delivering customer-facing products end-to-end
- Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities to address multi-stakeholder challenges
- Solid analytical competencies including metric definition, data interrogation, and evidence-based trade-offs using SQL or similar tools
- Sufficient technical depth to coordinate with engineers on systems, integrations, platform design, and reliability
- High level of ownership, attention to detail, and independent execution
Qualifications
- Experience with KYC or KYB processes such as digital identity, national ID systems, government registries, biometric verification, document checks, and business onboarding
- Background in financial crime prevention involving machine learning risk models or fraud and scam product protections
- Experience launching products across multiple countries or adapting global platforms to local requirements
- Experience collaborating with distributed cross-functional teams spanning product, engineering, compliance, operations, and regional leadership
