Job Description
ActiveCampaign is hiring a Principal Product Manager to speed up the context and reasoning systems behind Active Intelligence, a live platform where autonomous agents already support more than 180,000 businesses. This is a principal individual contributor role working with the Head of Applied AI, the engineering lead for Active Intelligence and other product leaders.
The first mandate is the context intelligence layer, a structured model of each customer's objectives, brand voice, audience behavior, campaign history and results that every agent can draw on. The second is a deep reasoning agent that moves beyond summaries to explain why engagement changed, what high performers share and where the next campaign should go, drawing on extended reasoning and multistep research.
The product manager sets the evaluation approach, including test sets, quality scoring rubrics and graded outputs, prototypes directly with frontier models, and shapes architecture and data models in partnership with applied AI and machine learning engineers. Work continues from prototype to production and on to adoption by marketers, and the manager defines what counts as success.
Required experience includes substantial product management for production AI or ML products at scale, hands-on shaping of data platforms or structured context systems, and a history of defining capabilities in unmapped territory. Working with frontier models and agent architectures in production is needed. An engineering background and marketing technology experience are strong pluses. No salary figure appears in the posting. Benefits listed include high-deductible health coverage paid in full by the company, telehealth, LinkedIn Learning, open PTO, 401(k) matching, a four-week sabbatical after five years and either commuter perks or a remote stipend.
