Job Description
Bright Vision Technologies, an enterprise solutions and software development firm specializing in AI, data, and cloud services across the United States, is seeking a Principal Python Developer. This full-time position operates on a 100% remote basis within the United States. The compensation ranges from $120,000 to $170,000 annually on a direct W2 basis. The ideal candidate brings extensive Python expertise combined with a strong background in software architecture, operational support, and data engineering.
In this hands-on engineering position, the chosen professional will create, construct, and maintain large-scale, enterprise-grade applications, data services, and automation platforms. Daily duties involve collaborating closely with product, data, and infrastructure groups to solve technical challenges, troubleshooting complex production systems, and ensuring high performance and security within distributed environments. U.S. citizens, green card holders, EAD holders, and H-1B transfer candidates are welcome to apply, though new H-1B visa petitions are not supported.
Responsibilities
- Design and build enterprise-grade applications, data-intensive services, and automation platforms
- Maintain high-performance and secure Python systems within distributed production environments
- Partner with product, data, and infrastructure teams to convert business problems into technical solutions
- Identify root causes of complex issues and debug production applications
- Handle multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment while updating stakeholders
Requirements
- Five or more years of applied Python development experience in enterprise environments
- Experience building and maintaining large-scale production applications requiring high reliability
- Hands-on work with relational databases including Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Sybase
- Understanding of the complete software development lifecycle, algorithms, data structures, and secure coding standards
- Familiarity with Agile practices, CI/CD pipelines, and application resiliency patterns
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field
- Proficiency in UNIX or Linux shell scripting and command-line tools
- Knowledge of mathematical and statistical concepts applied in code
- Experience with Python data and machine learning tools such as NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch
- Exposure to AWS cloud services and cloud-native storage like S3, RDS, DynamoDB, and Glue
