This senior individual contributor role centers on managing high-impact supply chain relationships, acting as the primary executive point of contact for major distributors and network partners. The position suits an experienced professional capable of operating within deep ambiguity, guiding cross-functional initiatives, and advising C-suite stakeholders.
The role operates under Instacart's Flex First policy, allowing employees to choose their preferred working environment from home, an office, or a local workspace, supported by regular in-person events.
Responsibilities
- Manage strategic relationships and act as the primary executive point of contact for Instacart's major supply chain and distributor partners.
- Formulate and execute partnership strategies aligning partner goals with commercial and product priorities.
- Drive major cross-functional initiatives across Product, Finance, Marketing, Legal, Operations, and Partnerships without formal authority.
- Develop scalable playbooks, partnership models, and go-to-market strategies for distributor and supply chain engagements.
- Identify net-new business opportunities, including new partner segments, product integrations, and commercial structures.
- Serve as an internal subject matter expert on supply chain dynamics, competitive landscapes, and partner needs.
- Analyze multi-variable datasets to support individual partner growth and team-wide strategic decisions.
- Represent the organization in executive negotiations, industry forums, and partner quarterly business reviews.
- Mentor and informally coach other partner managers to enhance team capability and strategic thinking.
Requirements
- 10 or more years of experience in strategic account management, management consulting, business development, or related fields.
- Demonstrated history of owning complex, senior-level partnerships and generating measurable company-level impact.
- Proven ability to influence internal and external executive stakeholders without formal authority.
- Advanced analytical skills to synthesize ambiguous data into clear strategic recommendations.
- Strong communication and executive presence for leading C-suite conversations and external representation.
- Experience leading large, complex cross-functional initiatives from inception to delivery.

- Specialized expertise in supply chain, distribution, or retail ecosystems alongside an established network of senior industry relationships.
