This full-time on-site accounting role at SGS in the Philippines processes supplier invoices, reviews travel and expense claims and supports month-end close. The accountant checks coding against the chart of accounts, processes prepayments and handles vendor inquiries. The role works through the AP subledger and month-end checklists.
Responsibilities
- Review, validate and process purchase order, non-PO and credit card invoices in the accounting system.
- Code and book invoices according to the chart of accounts and verify compliance with policy.
- Audit travel and expense liquidation and process prepayments and prepaid invoice follow-ups.
- Support AP subledger close and month-end checklists for sign-off by the senior accountant.
Requirements
- Two or more years of experience in procure-to-pay invoice processing, month-end close, reconciliation, or cash and bank work.
- General knowledge of accounting principles, which is a nice-to-have.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting, business or finance.
- Knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite is a nice-to-have.
- Customer service orientation and good analytical skills.
