Meesho seeks a Product Designer - II (Design System) for its design team based in Bengaluru. The company operates an e-commerce platform aimed at connecting small businesses and consumers across India, focusing particularly on tier-2 and regional markets.
In this role, the designer will manage and expand the company's design system to establish uniformity, scalability, and efficiency across all products. Responsibilities include building modular user interface components, setting interaction patterns, and guiding engineering and design partners on component architecture and implementation standards. The ideal candidate will transform intricate user interface and user experience challenges into reusable frameworks, helping to increase delivery velocity while preserving visual quality.

Responsibilities
- Manage and evolve the Meesho design system encompassing guidelines, components, and patterns
- Develop scalable frameworks, interaction patterns, and reusable user interface components for product teams
- Drive design system adoption to ensure consistency and quality across products
- Partner with engineering to align on component architecture, design tokens, and implementation guidelines
- Perform audits of existing user experiences to pinpoint standardization and improvement opportunities
- Support and guide product designers in utilizing and contributing to the design system
- Promote accessibility, usability, and inclusive design standards throughout the system
- Utilize user data and feedback to elevate system adoption and overall effectiveness
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of design experience within a product company, featuring substantial focus on design systems
- Demonstrated background in building or contributing to a design system at scale
- Portfolio illustrating system thinking, component design, and scalable user experience patterns
- Advanced proficiency in Figma tools including components, libraries, tokens, and auto-layout
- Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and React alongside design-engineering collaboration
- High attention to detail and visual consistency
- Experience operating within cross-functional teams to align stakeholders
- Capacity to simplify complex problems into reusable solutions
