AlphaSense, an AI platform specializing in market intelligence and workflow orchestration for finance and business, is looking for a Product Manager, New Content Initiatives and Analysis. Operating within the Content organization and reporting to the Chief Content Officer, this role focuses on expanding and strengthening the value, quality, and breadth of data powering the platform.
This position is well-suited for professionals possessing a strong background in capital markets and investment research, along with experience evaluating financial research content and AI-powered workflows. The person in this role will discover and evaluate third-party qualitative and quantitative datasets, lead due diligence and vendor evaluations, run proofs of concept, analyze coverage and accuracy, and construct business cases for new information sources. Additionally, the individual will track industry trends, conduct competitive analysis, and identify new AI-driven functionality to enhance the platform.
Responsibilities
- Discover and assess third-party quantitative and qualitative datasets and content for the platform
- Partner with Content Leads and Partnership Management to review data quality, licensing terms, and integration feasibility
- Lead due diligence efforts or guide analyst teams through vendor evaluations and proofs of concept
- Create business cases for new datasets by evaluating cost, strategic fit, buy-versus-build impact, and value proposition
- Contribute to market research and competitive analysis to discover innovation opportunities and new AI-driven functionalities
- Monitor industry shifts, competing platforms, and AI workflow advancements to shape product and content vision
Requirements
- At least 5 years of work experience at a financial institution or investment research platform focused on delivering or evaluating content, analytics, features, or models for front-office professionals
- Working knowledge of modern investment research databases and market data tools like fundamentals, estimates, transaction data, ownership data, news, transcripts, and market data
- Strong understanding of relational and JSON database logical structures
- Demonstrated ability to perform complex data queries and analyses using generative AI or traditional data-query techniques
- Hands-on experience and familiarity with Claude Code or similar platforms
- Experience collaborating with dedicated cross-functional product development teams including engineers, vendor management professionals, and content leads
- Proven track record of successful collaboration and delivery with globally distributed teams
- Ability to set priorities, stay focused, and meet or beat deadlines
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree or relevant academic background in a quantitative analysis field
- Experience with content acquisition and licensing
- Prior work history at a financial research or market intelligence SaaS start-up
- Exposure to agile or iterative development methodologies during product development
- Experience working with and leading distributed teams
- Prior informal or formal team leadership experience
