Job Description
Ashby is hiring Product Support Specialists for its APAC region. This is a day-shift role in which the specialist works closely with customers each day, troubleshooting a broad and complex hiring platform and walking customers through detailed workflows and recommended practices.
Ashby builds software that helps talent teams, recruiters and hiring managers improve how they hire. The company says it serves more than 4,000 customers and that its annual recurring revenue has grown more than 100 percent a year. Support is seen as part of the product itself, and the team is made up of people who know the platform deeply.
Schedules rotate: each specialist works one weekend day and gets a weekday off, following either a Tuesday to Saturday or a Sunday to Thursday pattern, with occasional changes for holidays or business needs. Candidates can share preferred hours in their application. Beyond tickets, the team works on projects that make support better, such as technical enablement material and workflow automation. The first 30 days focus on learning the product, and new specialists take their first tickets in week one, with support alongside them.
Responsibilities
- Handle daily customer troubleshooting, from complex integration issues to detailed workflow questions
- Investigate problems, isolate configuration issues and reproduce ambiguous behavior
- Communicate technical answers clearly and thoroughly, and escalate with good quality when needed
- Walk customers through best practices for their workflows
- Contribute to projects that improve support, such as enablement content and workflow automation
Requirements
- Practical ease handling hard SaaS support cases from the first report to the final fix
- Ability to explain technical issues concisely to different audiences
- Systematic thinking, strong ownership and effective asynchronous communication
- Keen attention to detail, empathy and thorough written responses
- Background in business-to-business support for both small firms and large enterprises
- Capacity to juggle investigation work, customer updates and sound escalations when things move quickly
- Willingness to dig into technical problems rather than handing them off early
Qualifications
- Recent experience mainly in technical support, rather than customer success, account management or onboarding
- Preference for deep, hands-on problem solving over coordination or team leadership
Core Skills
Benefits
- A decade to exercise stock options after leaving
- Unlimited PTO, with about four weeks a year suggested
- Generous paid family leave
- Budget for equipment, software and office furniture
- $100 per month education budget, with larger items such as conferences covered with manager approval
