Job Description
This full-time on-site quality role at SGS in Davao leads and monitors the quality management system for the Visayas and Mindanao laboratories, including Cebu and Davao. The specialist is the focal point for audit readiness, permits, licenses and accreditation, and manages corrective actions. The role also acts as understudy to the Quality Manager and supports customer complaint investigations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor the quality management system across the Visayas and Mindanao labs.
- Coordinate accreditation, regulatory, customer and corporate audits and track closure of findings.
- Conduct internal audits, spot checks and follow-ups, and close nonconformance reports on time.
- Support root-cause analysis for customer complaints and nonconformities.
Requirements
- Compliance with ISO/IEC 17025, customer requirements, legal standards and corporate policies.
- Three to five years of experience in quality assurance or quality control, or one to two years of supervisory or related lab experience.
- Auditing skills and knowledge of international standards.
Qualifications
- A college degree in chemistry, environmental science, chemical engineering, biology, microbiology or a related science, with a professional license where applicable.
- Strong organization and planning skills to manage timelines and deliverables.
- Attention to detail in inventory accuracy and audit reconciliation.
