Econet Wireless Zimbabwe is hiring six Refuelling Drivers to support business continuity by maintaining fuel availability at critical network sites. Based across locations including Harare, Masvingo, Gweru, Mutare, and Bulawayo, this full-time role involves transporting fuel, conducting first-line generator checks, managing operational risks, and handling emergency call-outs.
This position suits experienced drivers holding a Class 2 Driver's Licence and a defensive driving certificate who can manage fuel safety, execute offloading connections, and report field intelligence accurately.
Responsibilities
- Collect fuel from collection points and deliver it safely to base station sites while managing deliveries on the AUTIN system
- Execute fuel offloading connections and record tank levels before and after each refuelling process
- Perform first-line generator inspections during site visits and report any faults
- Recharge and verify ZESA tokens at assigned locations
- Protect fuel in transit and on site while reporting any theft, tampering, or variances
- Manage casual workers hired for transporting fuel to inaccessible sites
- Inspect site cleanliness and security conditions
- Keep transport vehicles roadworthy and adhere to safety regulations for handling and moving fuel
- Draft daily site status reports and respond to emergency refuelling requests outside normal hours
