Moniepoint Inc. is seeking a Regional Security Officer for the North West region to oversee physical security operations and protect company staff, facilities, and assets. Moniepoint functions as an all-in-one financial platform in Africa, providing digital payments, banking, credit, and business management services while processing billions in transactions annually. In this on-site role, the successful candidate will manage regional security personnel, conduct risk assessments, interact with local law enforcement, and respond to incidents. Responsibilities
- Implement security policies to safeguard staff, offices, and equipment across the assigned region
- Conduct regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and design risk reduction strategies
- Supervise and mentor private security guards and armed police personnel
- Serve as the primary liaison with local law enforcement and emergency services
- Lead responses to security breaches and accidents while providing factual incident reports
- Develop and deliver training programs covering life-saving protocols for employees and guards
- Manage and monitor modern security technology such as CCTV and access control systems
- Provide guidance on asset recovery and fraud investigations when requested by the business
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience leading a security team within a guard services or physical security company, or 5 years of experience as an ex-commissioned service personnel supervisor in the military, police, or paramilitary
- Clean criminal record and capability to pass a comprehensive background check
- Fluency in the local dialects of major tribes within the assigned region
- Experience operating automated security systems like CCTV cameras and burglary alarms
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Criminology, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or a related field
- Possession of a recognized security certification such as CPP, PSP, or CPO
