Job Description
Pearl Talent is recruiting an IT and clinical systems support specialist for a client that operates a pediatric telehealth business in the United States and delivers care through remote clinicians. The client's name is withheld in the posting. The role is fully remote, and the posting says it can be done from anywhere in Latin America. Hours run on Pacific time, from 8 AM to 5 PM, and the role sometimes includes evening on-call duty for high-priority P0 incidents.
The specialist serves as the principal technology contact for clinicians and as the first line of IT help for employees. Typical work covers request handling, granting and revoking system access during hiring and departures, troubleshooting clinical and business software, and handing harder problems to the outside managed IT provider, vendors, or engineers. The job additionally carries responsibility for how providers receive support, along with the related records. Success is measured by how quickly providers become ready to see patients and how much repeat trouble falls over time.
Because the environment is governed by HIPAA, precise access controls are critical. The technology mix includes clinical and SaaS platforms, among them Healthie and DoseSpot. Applicants need at least two years in IT or clinical systems support, practical Google Workspace administration skills, and experience writing IT documentation. English must be at C1 level or higher.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the main technology contact for clinicians.
- Diagnose access, permission, scheduling, and workflow problems in clinical systems like Healthie and DoseSpot.
- Create a straightforward method for providers to file, follow, and escalate requests.
- Maintain troubleshooting guides and help documents written for providers.
- Set up, modify, and turn off provider and staff accounts through established procedures.
- Verify that every needed system is ready before a new provider starts seeing patients.
- Revoke system access quickly and fully when someone leaves.
- Maintain precise logs of user access and system setup.
- Handle first-line support tasks involving Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, MFA, web browsers, and general business applications.
- Resolve requests about account access, permissions, and basic setup.
- Hand off hardware and deeper technical issues to the outside managed IT provider, vendors, or engineers, and follow each one until it closes.
- Draft and revise standard procedures, checklists for hiring and departures, and system guides.
- Identify repeated problems and propose fixes or automation.
- Adhere to HIPAA, privacy, and information security rules, and report suspected incidents per company procedure.
Requirements
- At least two years in IT, help desk, technical, application, or clinical systems support.
- Practical experience administering Google Workspace, including creating accounts, setting permissions, and handling MFA enrollment and resets.
- Able to troubleshoot SaaS apps, browsers, Slack, and Zoom for people without technical backgrounds.
- Background provisioning and removing accounts with role-based permissions for hiring and exit processes.
- Track record of triaging tickets and handing them to outside IT providers, vendors, or engineering until resolved.
- Documentation work shown on a resume or portfolio, such as SOPs or troubleshooting guides.
- C1-level English or higher.
Qualifications
- Background in healthcare, health technology, telehealth, or another regulated sector governed by HIPAA or similar rules.
- Work supporting EHR or EMR software like Healthie or DoseSpot.
- Use of Zendesk or comparable ticketing software such as Freshdesk or Jira Service Management.
- Helped roll out new software to staff.
- Worked with an outside managed service provider on device management.
