Figma is seeking an experienced professional to join its team as a Researcher focusing on Figma Design. The company builds a collaborative platform that supports teams through brainstorming, prototyping, coding translation, and AI-driven iteration. In this full-time role, the selected candidate will guide core product strategy, explore new opportunities, and influence both short-term and long-term company direction.
This position involves partnering closely with design, engineering, and product leaders to tackle high-impact problems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in user experience research, exceptional storytelling abilities, and experience evaluating AI-powered features. Responsibilities include translating complex data into compelling narratives that shape product roadmaps and advocating for research as a key strategic driver.
Figma offers an annual base salary ranging from $169,000 to $250,000 USD, along with equity and various employee benefits. This position can be based out of a United States hub or performed remotely within the United States. Candidates are subject to application limits of up to five submissions per rolling 30-day period.
Responsibilities
- Deliver strategic research and recommendations to shape the vision of Figma Design
- Collaborate with product leaders to identify new opportunities and define success metrics
- Design and execute end-to-end research plans to address complex business challenges
- Convert research insights into narratives that guide product roadmap priorities
- Advocate for the strategic value of research across the business process
Requirements
- Minimum of seven years of user insights or UX research experience at a high-growth business-to-business SaaS company
- Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative methodologies for opportunity identification, concept testing, and feature iterations
- Experience investigating AI-enabled products or features
- Proven capability to spot and test critical assumptions underlying key challenges
- Track record of securing buy-in from cross-disciplinary partners and executive stakeholders
Qualifications
- Two or more years of background in product design, user-centric product management, front-end engineering, or product development
- Familiarity and extensive experience utilizing Figma product offerings
