Job Description
Kyro AI is a company headquartered in Plano, Texas, that builds workforce and contractor management software for electricity providers, storm restoration contractors and aggregators. Its platform supports the crews that restore power after major storms. The company originated as a spinout of Think Power Solutions and offers StormShield, a storm restoration product, Kyro Capital, which handles invoice factoring for contractors, and KORY, an AI copilot, along with tools for onboarding and verifying contractors.
The Sales Development Representative is usually the first conversation a utility or contractor has with Kyro. The role covers two segments with different buying patterns. Utility sales involve enterprise leaders in storm response, emergency management, procurement and supply chain, and these cycles often run long and connect to RFIs or RFPs. Contractor sales are shorter and phone-first, with company owners, operations leads and storm coordinators at power-line, vegetation and restoration firms.
The SDR prospects by phone, email and LinkedIn, runs multi-touch follow-up, answers incoming leads within the same business day, and qualifies each opportunity before booking a demo. Performance is judged by how many demos get held and what conversions follow from them, including contractors who sign up and onboard. The posting asks for one to three years of B2B SDR or BDR experience, ideally in SaaS, plus native-level English and availability aligned with US Central business hours. The role is fully remote and listed as full-time, with competitive base pay and uncapped commission.
Responsibilities
- Find and qualify prospects among utilities and contractors, building account lists and reaching the right buyers on calls, by email and on LinkedIn.
- Run multi-touch follow-up, keeping a date-stamped next action on each open lead.
- Reply to incoming leads within the same business day, qualifying them quickly.
- Establish the need, timing, decision steps, spend and regulatory requirements before a meeting is booked.
- Schedule demos, confirm them, send reminders, and pass each one to the account team with clear notes.
- Keep working contractors past the demo until they register and start onboarding, and advance utility deals to the next stage.
- Keep CRM records current with activities, stage changes and next steps.
- Share field objections, competitor mentions and product requests with the product team.
Requirements
- Between one and three years in a B2B SDR or BDR seat, ideally at a SaaS company, with consistent results against meeting and demo targets.
- Consistent follow-through over calls, emails and LinkedIn messages, with no prompting needed.
- Comfortable cold calling, especially with buyers who work in the field rather than at a desk.
- Clear, concise written communication.
- Practical experience working in CRM and sales-engagement software, such as HubSpot, Apollo, Outreach or Salesloft.
- Comfort tracking your own funnel and spotting where deals stall.
- Quick to pick up a technical field that is heavily regulated.
- Works independently and stays organized while working remotely.
- Native-level English, with availability aligned to US Central business hours.
Qualifications
- Prior selling to utilities, energy firms, construction companies, field service businesses or regulated sectors.
- Knowledge of storm recovery, power line work, tree and vegetation management, or contractor networks.
- Background in both lengthy enterprise deals and smaller, self-serve selling models.
- Past work with workforce software, regulatory compliance or financial technology products.
- A bachelor's-level education, or work experience that matches it.
