Job Description
Elfonze Technologies is hiring for a remote SAP ABAP position. This role focuses on guiding or performing custom code remediation, performance enhancement, and technical conversion activities while the system transitions from legacy ECC environments to SAP S/4HANA. Professionals in this position will review and adapt custom ABAP reports, enhancements, and code to achieve compatibility with the S/4HANA simplification database list. The job also involves conducting ATC and simplification item checks to pinpoint obsolete code, managing dictionary and program adjustments during upgrades, and optimizing legacy programs for the SAP HANA database using modern approaches such as CDS views and ABAP for S/4HANA. Additionally, personnel will support Fiori app activation, user experience modernization, and OData services configuration.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and adapt custom ABAP code, enhancements, and reports for S/4HANA simplification database compatibility
- Run simplification item checks and use the ABAP Test Cockpit to locate obsolete code
- Manage dictionary and program adjustments during the system upgrade process
- Optimize legacy programs for the SAP HANA database utilizing ABAP for S/4HANA and CDS views
- Support OData services configuration, Fiori app activation, and user experience modernization
Requirements
- 7 to 10+ years of total SAP ABAP experience
- Hands-on participation in at least 2 to 3 Brownfield system conversion or technical upgrade projects
- Advanced Object-Oriented ABAP expertise
- Strong skills in debugging, SQL optimization, and enhancement frameworks including BAdIs and User Exits
- Deep understanding of S/4HANA data structures, custom code adaptation, and migration cockpit tools

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
